A MAGICAL, TRAVELLING TEAM
Cram Competition’s history is an integral part of its promoter’s life: Marcello Rosei. The present owner and team manager, started his career in motorsport almost 40 years ago: in 1967. He began to attend circuits as a driver and he immediately pushed his way! During 13 years of driver-activity, he won 57 races in total, conquering 3 Italian titles, 4 honour-placings and 3 third-places. He only entered single-seater championships. After having given up his helmet, he remained loyal to the single-seaters world. The further step was the most natural one, that’s to say creating his own team: Cram Competition. Since his first years on the tracks, Rosei personally worked on the set-up and the tuning of his cars, taking up the double appointment of mechanic and driver. Thanks to this background, his evolution into Team Manager did not catch him unprepared. Nowadays, Cram competition is an important point of reference in the European panorama of the propaedeutic formulas, especially in the context of the continental Formula Renault 2000. Since 2000, birth-year of this category, Cram Competition won 2 European Championships, 3 Italian Championships and dominated the Italian Winter Series three times. These successes were obtained thanks to the speed-talents of many drivers who, later on, reached the top of motor-racing, like Felipe Massa. But also thanks to the high technical know-how of a great team. The organization chart of the team includes Marcello Rosei’s wife too, Donatella, who works in Public Relations while Simone and Gabriele, his sons, are the mainstays of the sporting staff of the team. > homepage /
